
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, JUNE 05, 2025: On the occasion of World Environment Day, a special event was organized at Telangana Social Welfare Residential Women’s Degree College, located in Shatrajupalli, Vemulawada town. The programme was conducted under the joint auspices of the NSS Unit and the Department of Botany.
As part of the celebration, various saplings were planted within the college premises to promote environmental awareness and greenery. Speaking on the occasion, K Lavanya, Principal of the college, emphasised: “Protecting the environment is a collective responsibility. We must preserve nature for the sake of future generations. Small changes can lead to long-term impact,”.

The event witnessed active participation from Vice Principal B. Sumalatha, NSS Programme Officer V. Swapna, Head of the Botany Department R Deepthi, Advisory Council Member G Swapna, along with teaching staff and students.
Students also shared their thoughts on environmental protection and the significance of sustainable living. The program concluded successfully, fostering a sense of responsibility among the participants toward nature conservation.
