
KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 05, 2025: World Environment Day was celebrated grandly at Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women (TGSWRDCW), by organising various programmes to create awareness about the protection of the environment from pollution, Nagunur, Karimnagar on Thursday.
The Departments of Botany and Zoology jointly conducted an ‘Eco-friendly Art’ competition, while the Department of Microbiology organised essay writing and elocution competitions. Students participated enthusiastically in these competitions.

Certificates were presented to the winning students by the National Service Scheme (NSS). The event saw the participation of College Principal T. Malathi, NSS Programme Officer K Geetha Rani, Head of Botany Department N. Sreelatha, Head of Zoology Department M. Kalyani, Zoology faculty Imroz Shahevar, Microbiology faculty P. Pravitha, along with other faculty members and a large number of students.
On this occasion, the Principal emphasised the importance of environmental protection. She urged everyone to contribute their part in providing a healthy environment for future generations.
