
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MARCH 08, 2025: The Telanagana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Shatrajpalli, Vemulawada, in the Rajanna-Sircilla district, celebrated International Women’s Day with pomp and gaiety on Saturday.

As part of the event, an online session conducted by the Head Office featured successful women from various fields sharing their experiences with students. The session included notable personalities such as Kumari Nandini Agasara (International Athlete), Chaaya Ratan (Retired IAS Officer), Dr. Geetha Challa (Psychologist), Dr. B. Shireesha (MD in Medicine), Preeti Sudan (Chairman, UPSC, Government of India), and Dr. Alugu Varshini (IAS, Secretary, TGSWREIS), among others.
Following this, essay writing competitions and cultural programmes were conducted on the theme of women’s empowerment, and prizes were awarded to the winners by Nehru Yuva Kendra. The organisers had felicitated all the women employees of the residential college. The event was actively participated in by Principal Dr. K. Lavanya, Vice Principal B. Sumalatha, Cultural Coordinator S. Sandhya Rani, faculty members, and students.
