Women’s day celebrated with fun and frolic in GDCs of Karimnagar and Jagtial towns

KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 06, 2024: As a prelude to the ensuing International Women’s Day celebrations, the women faculty members of Government Degree College for Women, Karimnagar town, celebrated early women’s day celebrations with much pomp and gaiety by organising various fun games on Wednesday.

Women empowerment cell of the college under the leadership of its convenor N Sangeetha Rani organised various programmes for the women faculty and non-teaching staff amid cheers.  They organised several fund games such as various games like match the bottle, dumb sharad, musical chair, purse scavenger hunt, one minute show and winners were given prizes. They enjoyed the day with singing and dancing.

Principal T Sree Lakshmi, WEC convenor Sangeetha Rani, members Prashanti, B Rajani Devi, G Jyothi and others successfully conducted the programme.

JAGTIAL: Similarly, the WEC of GDC women in Jagtial town also celebrated the women’s day with lots of enthusiasm. The theme of this year’s women’s day “Invest in women: Accelerate Progress”.

Principal Y Satyanarayana presided over the function and hailed the multi-tasking of modern women. Vice principal Masroor Sultana spoke on success stories of several womenfolk. IQAC coordinator Harjoth Kaur, WEC coordinator T Swaroopa Rani, faculty members Satyaprakash, A Jyotilaxmi, G Manasa, A Rajini, G Chandraiah,  M A Raheem,  M Srinivas Reddy,  R Srinivas, Satyam, Sunita, Jyotsna,  Madhavi, Irfana, Yasmeen, Sangeeta,  Venkatsai, Santosh , Saleem, Naveen  , Rashmita, Veena  ,  Suresh , Anant Rao, Narsaiah and others  students were present.

There were lots of cultural events and the women faculty members and students enjoyed the day with songs and dances. Besides, the fun gagames and mehendi competitions.  Dr Y Satyanarayana felicitated all the women faculty of the college and appreciated their work for the benefit of the college.  Prizes were distributed to winners of Mehndi, Rangoli, songs and dance competitions on the occasion.
