RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MARCH 06, 2024: The Bharath Rashtra Samithi activists have staged protests across the integrated Karimnagar district demanding the state government to implement Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS) free of cost on Wednesday.
BRS National spokesperson Konduru Ravinder Rao, BRS district president K Agaiah and others participated in the agitational programme in Sircilla textile town. Speaking on the occasion, the BRS national spokesperson found fault with the state government for forcing the people to pay a fee for LRS. Reminding that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy when in opposition promised to provide LRS facility without collecting any money, the BRS leader found fault with the Congress government for issuing orders asking the people to pay money by the end of this month for LRS.
The BRS leaders charged that the government was planning to collect Rs 20,000 crore fee from 25.44 lakh LRS applications in the state with each applicant expected to pay Rs 1 lakh on an average. The BRS leaders also threatened to intensify their agitations against the state government if it forced the people to pay money for LRS.
