Vedham Tapovan School, Bhainsa, conducts Student Council elections

BHAINSA (NIRMAL DT), AUGUST 06, 2024: The student council elections were held at Vedham Tapovan School, Bhainsa in Nirmal district on Tuesday.

It was a significant day for the candidates contesting for the reputed positions of Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Secretary, and Cultural Secretary after going through all the step-by-step activities of filing nominations, manifesto reading, printing of banners and campaigning etc. The event aimed to instill in students an understanding of virtues of democracy and the responsibilities that come with leadership roles.

This platform allowed them to share their vision and plans for the school, should they be elected. The event was graced by the presence of Mudhole constituency MLA Ramarao Patil, who delivered an inspiring speech on the essence of real leadership. He commended the school’s Principal and Director, Srinivas Reddy, for fostering an environment that encourages student participation and leadership.

The MLA praised the school for its exemplary standards and expressed his unwavering support for its initiatives. Following the speeches, the MLA, along with the school’s director and other distinguished guests, participated in the voting process, mirroring a real democratic election.

This involvement highlighted the importance of civic engagement and the role of elections in shaping leadership. Srinivas Reddy, the school director, expressed his gratitude to Tapovan’s Academic Director Mr. Dattatri, Executive Director Nagabhusham, and especially the programme coordinators, Chandrakanth and Bhumareddy.  He also thanked the entire faculty for their meticulous planning and execution of the event, ensuring its success.

The school community eagerly awaits the counting and announcement of the results, which will be declared tomorrow. The election has not only provided a valuable learning experience for the students but also reinforced the importance of active participation in a democratic society.
