NIRMAL, AUGUST 31, 2024: In a significant step towards enhancing educational excellence, the Vice Principal, Academic Directors, and Head Teachers of Science and Maths from Vedham School in Bhainsa town participated in a two-day training camp at IIT Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The camp, organised by the Centre for Creative Learning at IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat, aims to equip educators with the latest skills in creative problem-solving and innovative thinking, essential for preparing today’s students for the challenges of tomorrow. They learned special techniques used in encouraging the students towards learning Science and Maths through various activities pertaining to the subjects.
They gained expertise in performing tasks and generate interest among students towards science and maths. It will also help them in developing creativity and problem-solving skills among students to observe things from their own perspective. Teachers learned the techniques through games and other activities involving science and math.
The training comes as part of Vedham School’s ongoing commitment to staying ahead in educational advancements. Principal Srinivas Reddy emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “In the rapidly evolving field of technology, it is crucial that our teachers are up-to-date with the latest policies and teaching methods. Only then can we truly do justice to our students’ education. Vice Principal Dr. Baji Reddy, a Ph.D. holder in mathematics, along with Academic Directors and IIT batch in-charge Brahmaji, Telugu HOD and well-known poet Narender, Social Studies HOD Sirimala Sainath, Tapovan Academic Director and Science HOD Dattatri, and the ever-curious chemistry faculty Venkatesh are representing Vedham at this prestigious training camp.
