No Bag Day Brings Joy and Learning to Students of Class V at Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE)

KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 31, 2024: In an exciting new initiative, Vivekananda Residential School held its  “No Bag Day” for Class 5 students on Saturday. The day was a resounding success, filled with laughter, creativity, and interactive learning, allowing children to experience school in a whole new way.

The initiative, introduced to reduce the physical burden of carrying heavy school bags and to foster a more engaging learning environment, saw students arriving at school with big smiles instead of heavy bags. With the usual textbooks and notebooks left at home, the classrooms were transformed into hubs of activity, with a variety of fun and educational stations set up to encourage hands-on learning.

Throughout the day, students participated in various activities, including art and craft, storytelling, science experiments, and outdoor games. Teachers also took the opportunity to conduct interactive sessions that focused on practical life skills, teamwork, and problem-solving.

“Our goal with No Bag Day is to create a learning environment that is not only enjoyable but also helps students develop critical thinking and social skills,” said Principal Mrs. Renuka Balivada. “The response from both students and parents has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are excited to make this a regular event.”

Teachers observed that the students were more enthusiastic and engaged than ever. “It’s wonderful to see my child so excited about going to school,” said a parent of a Class V student. “This initiative has truly sparked their curiosity and love for learning.”

As the day concluded the students shared their experiences, it was clear that No Bag Day was more than just a break from the routine. It was a refreshing change that reminded everyone that learning can be both fun and educational. It’s a pride that Vivekananda Residential School under the leadership of Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polasani (Chairman) and Dr. T.Lalitha Kumari Director (Academics) setting a positive trend in modern education.
