Lashing out at the Congress party which is fading away, he exuded confidence that the BJP will repeat its victory in MLC elections in Telangana state
KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 08, 2025: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has alleged that there is a big conspiracy to include Muslims in the BC list and deny the reservations to the Backward Classes community in the Telangana state.
Stating that this move would jeopardize the chances of the Hindu society winning in BC-reserved constituencies in the future, he cited the results of the past GHMC elections as proof, arguing that due to the 4 per cent reservations implemented by Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy government, the Muslims won seats that should have gone to BC candidates.
As part of the electioneering for the MLC elections from the Karimnagar Graduates and Teachers constituencies, a massive “Sankalp Yatra” of the BJP contestants was organised by the Ramnagar Chowrasta to Geetha Bhavan Chowrasta in Karimnagar town on Saturday evening. The event saw huge participation from youth, employees, and BJP workers. Along with the Union Minister, Medak MP Raghunandan Rao and Adilabad MP Godam Nagesh, MLAs Payal Shankar, Katepalli Venkatramana Reddy, BJP contestants Anji Reddy and Malka Komuraiah and several other leaders attended. During this election rally, Bandi Sanjay unveiled BJP’s MLC election manifesto and addressed the public with key statements:
Referring to the miserable defeat of the Congress party in the New Delhi Assembly elections, he said that the people of Delhi had given them a suitable response to their failures. “What remains of Congress in Delhi? The people of Delhi gave them nothing but ‘donkey eggs.’ The same fate awaits them in the MLC elections in Telangana state too”, he remarked.
Referring to the promises by election promises made by the Congress in Telangana state, he said that the Congress promised ₹4,000 per month as unemployment benefits. It has been 14 months, meaning each unemployed youth should have received ₹56,000. Did they even get a single paisa? What did they receive? Donkey eggs!”
“If you vote for Congress in MLC elections, no one will fight for your promotions, DA hikes, or unemployment problems. Congress has a history of betraying the unemployed, falsely promising 2 lakh jobs in one year”, he reminded. Several students and educational institutions were suffering due to the non-release of fee reimbursement to the degree, engineering and other PG colleges in the state, he alleged.
He alleged that the BRS did not field an MLC candidate in the elections because of a secret deal with Congress, claiming that both parties are the same. “Do you know why KTR was not arrested in the drugs case despite solid evidence? Why are the Kaleshwaram and Farmhouse scam investigations going nowhere? Why did Congress leaders, who claimed Formula E scam arrests were inevitable, suddenly go silent? It’s because Congress and BRS struck a secret deal.”, he charged.
