KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 11, 2025: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has formally released the wall calendar and table calendar of the Telangana Prantha Upadyaya Sangham (TPUS) for the year 2025 at his camp office in Karimnagar town on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister said that the teachers play a crucial role in the country’s reconstruction by guiding the future generation. Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been striving hard to bring back the past glory to the country and its self-respect, he said that the BJP government had designed the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to make progress on all fronts. Alleging that the Congress and Communists had misled the people of the country for the last 77 years by highlighting the real heroes of the freedom struggle, he said that the BJP government had introduced the real history of the country and highlighted the unsung heroes of freedom struggle in the school and college syllabus.
He also demanded the government release the pending DA arrears, surrender leave, GPF part final and retirement benefits and other bills to the teachers and employees of the state government. He also demanded the government to appoint a full-time Education minister to resolve the issues about the crucial education sector.
Following the recommendations made by TPUS leaders, the Union Minister said that he would take the matter to the notice of the Election Commission to ensure that the SGTs also have vote rights in the legislative council elections of the Teachers constituency. TPUS general secretary Annamaneni Tirupati Rao, state secretary Ambati Venu Kumar, district incharge Vadnala Jagmohan, Kummarikunta Sudhakar, Star children’s hospital representative Dr Srinivas, district assistant president V Karunakar Rao and K Sridhar Reddy, district mandal leaders K Haricharan, Rachakonda Pawan Kumar, R Srinvias, B Satyam, Katta Venugopal, Munnuru Ramakrishna, D Srikanth Rao, T Sampath, Burra Nagaraju and others were also present.
