
KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 05, 2025: A two-day CBSE Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on Competency-Based Assessment was successfully conducted at Vivekananda Residential School, Karimnagar, on June 2 and 3, 2025, bringing together teachers to enhance classroom assessment practices in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The programme began with the presentation of saplings and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a warm welcome to the distinguished resource persons: Dr. Padmavathy Tungaturthi, Director, Fusion International School, Hyderabad and Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari, Principal & Director Academics, Sister Niveditha School, Hyderabad, and Director Academics, Vivekananda Residential School

Across two engaging days, teachers participated in interactive sessions, collaborative discussions, and hands-on activities focused on competency-based learning, with special emphasis on the art and science of constructing effective question papers. The sessions provided practical insights into designing assessments that move beyond rote learning and truly measure skills, understanding, and application.
The programme concluded with reflections from participants, enthusiastic feedback, and a shared commitment to apply the learning in classrooms for more meaningful and effective assessment practices.
