RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, SEPTEMBER 02, 2026: A two-day awareness programme on the orientation of Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) and soft skills and communication skills was formally inaugurated for the first-year degree students at Government Degree College, Gambhiraopet, Rajanna-Sircilla district on Wednesday.
The programme was organised under the guidance of J. Shravan Kumar, TASK and Career Guidance Cell Coordinator, and presided over by Prof. V Vijaya Lakshmi, Principal of the college. The TASK Karimnagar Branch Relationship Manager, Ganga Prasad, attended the programme as the Resource Person.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Prof. Vijaya Lakshmi advised the students to make the best use of the two-day training programme being conducted under the aegis of TASK. She emphasised the importance of developing proficiency in Artificial Intelligence (AI), communication skills, and the English language. She encouraged students to adapt themselves to the rapidly changing digital technologies and equip themselves with the skills required to secure better employment opportunities.
The Principal further stated that the college is ready to organise various TASK-related programmes for the benefit of students, in addition to their academic activities. She informed that the college conducts around five to six TASK-related programmes every year to enhance students’ employability. She emphasised that developing good communication skills makes it easier for students to secure suitable jobs.
Resource Person Ganga Prasad stated that students who register with TASK can look forward to better career opportunities. He explained that TASK provides students with valuable training not only during their degree programme but also supports them in enhancing their employability after graduation. He highlighted various programmes offered through TASK, including 21st Century Transferable Skills, Communication Skills, Job-Oriented Skills, Campus to Corporate, Pride Mahindra, Entrepreneurship, Soft Skills, and Employability Skills. He encouraged students to actively participate in these programmes and make effective use of the opportunities provided by TASK.
Speaking on the occasion, TASK Coordinator J. Shravan Kumar stated that merely possessing a degree is not sufficient to secure employment in the present competitive environment. He advised students to complement their academic qualifications by actively participating in the skill-development programmes offered through TASK, which would significantly improve their chances of obtaining employment.
The programme was attended by faculty members including Prabhakar, Paka Dharmapuri, Anjaneyulu, V. Vani, Adivishnu, K. V. Bikshamaiah, Manohar, Sucharan, Krishna Prasad, Mahesh, Shankar, Deepika, Bhargavi, Akalya, and others.
