Parents urged former Minister and Sircilla legislator K Taraka Rama Rao and others to help the bright student to fulfill her dream of completing higher education
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, JULY 23, 2024: A bright student belonging to tribal community, who had cracked the IIT and secured admission in IIT Patna, Bihar state, is now grazing the goats in her village in the interior Gone Nayak thanda in Veernapalli mandal as she does not have capacity to pay the fees to secure the admissions.
Daughter of Badavath Ramulu and Saroja, Madhulatha had secured 824 rank in the ST category in JEE examination and also admission in IIT Patna. But the family does not have capacity to pay the fee of Rs 3 lakh to continue her education due to abject poverty.
As her parents are unable to pay the fees, she is forced to graze her goats and sheep and help the family like her two other sisters, who completed graduation and doing cultivation in a small piece of land in the tribal thanda.
The parents said that they were not a position to pay the fee of Rs 3 lakhs to Madhulatha and seeking the assistance from philanthropists and others to help her pursue her higher education. Madhulatha would forgo her seat if she does not pay the fee before July 27, the parents.
