Training programme on Communication and Presentation skills concludes at Kakatiya Govt College

HANAMKONDA, SEPTEMBER 25, 2024: A two-day training programme on ‘Communication and Presentation Skills’ was organised by Telangana Skills and Knowledge Centre (TSKC) at Kakatiya Government College (autonomous) in Hanamkonda town on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Resource person Mark Louis from Hyderabad spoke on Communication skills. He said in today’s dynamic and inter-connected world, effective communication skills are indispensable for students to thrive academically, professionally and personally. Communication is not just about speaking or writing, it encompasses the ability to express thoughts clearly, listen actively and engage with others effectively. It is essential for students to recognise that communication is a lifelong skill that requires continuous practice and refinement.

Principal G Raja Reddy spoke on Presentation skills. He maintained that there was a need to up skill and re-skill the graduates and post-graduates that enter the Indian workforce every year. Without effective communication on the job, you can’t resolve conflicts, and that affects your ability to hold a job,” he noted. “It’s communication skills that allow you to get the job, hold the job and achieve on the job,” he maintained.

The training programme saw engaging discussions on the key skills required by Industry and dwelled on the major challenges in making students ready for placements. Vice Principal K Rajanilatha, TSKC coordinator D Rajashekhar, RSKC mentor P Sagar, placement cell coordinator Md Yakub and mentor P Sagar participated in the progrmame.
