HYDERABAD, AUGUST 21, 2024: To create awareness about traffic safety rules, the NSS unit of Government Degree College for Women, Golkonda, Hyderabad in association with the Traffic police conducted a short talk at the college on Wednesday
Traffic instructors Laxmi Narayan and Anil Kumar from Gosha Mahal police station and Poonam Thakur from Tolichowki police station conducted the training programme on Traffic regulation to the students.
Addressing the students, the Traffic instructors explained about the need of awareness and the role they could play in reducing the number of accidents occurring on roads. The students were shown types of mandatory, cautionary and informatory traffic signs. They were also shown essential traffic signs for students/kids. They spoke about the hand signals used by the traffic police in India which ensured smooth traffic flow and safety on roads.
They also spoke about the community policing wing, which was all about providing security and help to the people in need. Principal T Sree Lakshmi, NSS programme officers Humera Sayeed and Sucheta were also present.
