KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 05, 2026: Teacher’s Day was celebrated with great dignity and enthusiasm at the Telangana Government Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women (TGSWRDCW), Nagunur, in Karimnagar town, to honour the invaluable role of teachers in shaping young minds on Saturday.
The occasion was dedicated to acknowledging the selfless service, guidance, and dedication of teachers in shaping the future of students. The celebrations began by paying floral tributes to the portrait of Bharat Ratna and second President of India Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
Speaking on the occasion, College Principal T. Malathi, who highlighted that teachers are the true architects of society and urged students to pursue continuous learning. Vice-Principal S. Padmaja and Academic Coordinator (ACO) G. Vasumathi graced the occasion.
During the academic lectures, Telugu Lecturer E. Venkateshwarlu elaborated deeply on the educational meaning of the word “Guruvu” as a dispeller of darkness, while NSS Programme Officer K. Geetharani and Physics Lecturer Sandhyarani both delivered impactful talks emphasising discipline as the foundational stepping stone for achieving life goals.
Additionally, Political Science Lecturer Shankaraiah spoke on the critical societal importance of educators in building a strong nation. Superintendent T. Suresh Kumar delivered a brief speech appreciating the dedication of the entire teaching faculty. The vibrant celebratory events of the day were seamlessly managed by Cultural Committee members Sandhyarani, D. Mamatha, and Maheshwari with the active participation of all teaching and non-teaching staff, concluding with students presenting heartfelt tokens of gratitude to all staff members.
