Distributes eco-friendly cloth bags
KARIMNAGAR, DECEMBER 02, 2024: Students of English Union School, Jyothinagar, Karimnagar, took out a bicycle rally to celebrate the National Pollution Control Day on Monday.
School Director D Padmaja flagged off the cycle rally from the school premises. The students carrying placards went around all the important thoroughfares of the town and converged at the school. On this occasion, the students distributed cloth bags and educated people to ban plastic bags which are causing pollution.
National Pollution Control Day is celebrated on December 2nd every year to raise awareness about pollution and to honour those who died in the Bhopal Gas Tragedy in 1984. On this occasion, the students participated in the poster-making competitions.
Speaking on the occasion, School Correspondent D Vinod Rao called upon the people to encourage the use of bicycles to check pollution. Expressing concern over various forms of pollution, he urged the people to take up the responsibility to protect the environment from pollution. He also advised the people to take up massive plantations.
