RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, DECEMBER 02, 2024: The National Pollution Control Day was celebrated at Government Degree College, Gambhiraopet, Rajanna Sircilla, on Monday.
National Pollution Control Day is celebrated on December 2nd every year to raise awareness about pollution and to honour those who died in the Bhopal Gas Tragedy in 1984. On this occasion, the students participated in the poster-making competitions.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal V Vijayalakshmi explained how air pollution occurs, the types of pollution and the steps to be taken to prevent pollution. The students displayed pollution-prevention posters and urged everyone to take responsibility for preventing pollution and building a pollution-free India by keeping the surroundings clean. NSS programme officer Dharmapuri, Career guidance convenor Sravan Kumar and others were also present.
