Students of Sister Nivedita School excel in CBSE Cluster-VII Kabaddi championship

HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 19, 2024: The CBSE Cluster-VII Kabaddi Championship for boys took place from September 13th to 17th hosted by S.R.Vidya Nikethan International School. Schools from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana participated in the tournament which featured competitions in the U14, U17 and U19 categories, conducted according to CBSE regulations.

In the U14 category, the boys from Sister Nivedita Senior Secondary School showcased exceptional skill by decisively defeating Sree Vidya Nikethan with a score of 38-8. Despite of commendable effort in their following match they were unable to progress to the second round.

The U19 team, lead by captain Master Ubaid Khan, also delivered outstanding performances. They won against Sree Vidya Peet, scoring 34 points to 12, and triumphed over CRPF, Hyderabad with a score of 34-20. The team finished in the third place overall, with Master Ubaid Khan recognized as the Best Raider and Master Charan Kamal awarded the title of Best Defender. The team was guided by Coaches Mr. Mohan Rao and Ms. Vinodha, with Manager Mr. Naresh providing support throughout the tournament.

The event not only highlighted the sporting talents of the participants but also fostered unity and competition among the schools involved.  Principal Dr T Lalitha Kumari congratulated and applauded the efforts of the students. Chairman Dr Sudhakar Polsani and Correspondent Harihara Prasad also conveyed their wishes to the students.
