SNS girls emerged runners up
HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 19, 2024: Students of Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad have excelled at CBSE Cluster Level U-17 girls Kho-kho tournament which was held at Surya, The Global school, Ameenpur, September 16, 2024. Team SNS played a breath taking game.
They cleared the preliminary round against Kennedy School, quarter finals against Surya, The Global school and Semi –finals against Genesis School. Team SNS subdued the opponents at quick succession by chasing them like a gale and running like sprinters. The finals was played against Sangamitra Team. The Team SNS wouldn’t give up easily. They could have averted the loss if they had gained two more points or drawn by gaining one point.
Though they lost the winner’s trophy narrowly they defended boldly till the end and won the hearts of the spectators. They emerged as the runners up. The credit goes to the coaches Mrs. Patan Nageena Begum and Mr. G. Chitti Babu , Physical Education Teachers of SNS, Ameerpet. The team was given a ceremonial welcome.
They were honoured with badges and trophy in the school assembly. Dr T Lalitha Kumari, Principal of the school, appreciated their relentless efforts and wished them better luck in future. Chairman Dr Sudhakar Polsani and Correspondent Harihara Prasad congratulated the students for their outstanding performance.
