HYDERABAD, NOVEMBER 08, 2024: The Play School, Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad organised a special exhibition centred around the theme of means of transport titled ‘Transportation Day’ on the school premises on Friday.
The event showcased the creativity and enthusiasm of Tiny Tots as they explored different modes of transportation through engaging performances. The young students delighted the audience with the explanation of various modes of transport of land, water and air transport in daily life.
Transportation is important as it opens the world to new places, cultures, opportunities, and experiences. Travelling is always fun for our little explorers, be it air, land, or water. To move beyond the textbooks and teach children in practical ways to help them better understand the various modes of transport and transportation system of our country, the Transport Day was celebrated for the students.
The day began with a display of modes of transport, given to children of Senior Discoverers as a project to be done with parental support, which sparked their enthusiasm. Transport Day celebrations in The Play School provided a wonderful learning experience for our young students. Children had a hands-on learning experience following the traffic signals and using zebra crossings to avoid traffic jams and road accidents. They also got first-hand knowledge of the traffic rules and various emergency vehicles like ambulances, fire brigades, vehicles used for construction, etc.
The enthusiasm and active participation of students, parents, and teachers made this day a memorable and enriching experience for all. The students understood that depending upon the distance of the destination, we choose different modes of travel. They were actively engrossed in discussions and demonstrations of various means of transport. The principal, Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari expressed her views that these activities aimed to educate about the importance of public transportation while fostering creativity, communication skills, and teamwork. It was a day of learning and fun, promoting eco-friendly modes of transportation. School Chairman Dr Sudhakar Polsani and Correspondent Rtn Harihara Prasad congratulated the students for their outstanding presentations on various modes of transport and following traffic rules.
