Sixteen NCC girl cadets from integrated Karimnagar district participating in all-India trekking expedition at Ooty

KARIMNAGAR, MAY 07, 2024: Sixteen girls from NCC 9 Telangana Battalion Karimnagar district have been participating in the All-India NCC girls trekking expedition-2024 at Udghagamandalam (Ooty) in Tamil Nadu State from May 6 to 13, 2024.

In the senior wing, four girl cadets from SRR Government Arts and Science college viz L Pallavi, M Manjula, Ch Swarnalatha and E Poojitha; Government women’s degree college students M Poojitha, M Anusha and U Manisha, Vivekananda Degree and PG college cadets R Vennala, U Srivani and A Krishnaveni.

In the junior wing, S Rithika Sai, A Sadhvi Yadav and P Shourya Sree Narthana from Sacred Heart High School, Godavarikhani and G Sahasra, P Apoorva and D Akshaya from Sachdeva School of Excellence, NTPC, Jyothinagar, Ramagundam and NCC officer Jyotsna and PI staff Premchand.

The girl cadets from various parts of the country including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and others states will be trekking a distance of approximately 80 kilometers passing through two staging camps over a period of eight days.

During the period, the trekkers are divided into camps and will be visting the Radio Astronomy Centre, Tribal museum, Botanical garden, Rose garden, Silk farm, DSSC Wellington and Sims park etc. The trekking camp is organised under the aegis of NCC group, Coimbatore.
