
HYDERABAD, OCTOBER 21, 2024: Sister Nivedita School hosted the District Level Science Seminar on “Artificial Intelligence: Potential and Concerns” on October 18, 2024, under the guidance of Mr. Dharmendra, the District Science Officer.


Mrs. Geeta Reddy coordinated the programme effectively, receiving high praise from the Chairman for the excellent organization. The correspondent Rtn. Harihara Prasad also expressed appreciation for the seminar’s insightful discussions, while the Principal, Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari’s support and guidance were crucial in ensuring the event’s success.

Students from various schools in the twin cities participated, presenting their ideas and views through PowerPoint presentations. They discussed the utilization of AI in diverse fields such as health care, finance, education, transportation, manufacturing, business functions and public safety. The students eloquently highlighted both the potential benefits and challenges of AI, addressing critical issues such as existential, social, economic, and security risks.
The programme commenced at 10:00 AM and concluded at 2:00 PM, offering a valuable experience for all attendees. The seminar emphasized the need for a balanced approach to AI, promoting its benefits while mitigating its challenges to endure a safe and prosperous future. This event provided a profound understanding that while AI holds immense potential to revolutionize various sectors, it also brings significant risks that need to be carefully managed.
