JITS gesture to Sri Manasa Devi temple in Khasimpet

KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 21, 2024: The Jyothismathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (JITS) on the outskirts of Karimnagar town, has redesigned a pond at the historic Sri Swayambu Manasa Devi, Khasimpet village of Ganneruvaram in Karimnagar town.

Stated to be the second temple of Sri Manasa Devi in Haridwar, the temple houses 108 Nagaprathima and Shivalingams. The devotees pour the water as part of abhishekam from the available pond around the idols. As the water was going into the same pond and turning murky, JITS chairman J Sagar Rao’s wife J Vijaya, who visited the temple to offer prayers noticed this with water being greenish and pollutant.

She immediately consulted the engineers and redesigned the water pond so that the water would be fresh, with circulation by installing fountains and illuminations. After the development of the water pond, the water looks pure and fresh, and devotees offer abhishekas to Nagaprathimas and Shivalingams with fresh water.

The temple authorities felicitated J Vijaya for her gesture and beautification of the temple with a water fountain in the pond and circulation of water to keep the water clean for the abhishekams. The temple attained importance for its power to bless the childless couple with children, help bachelors with marriage, remove Nagadosha and help the devotees who pray for foreign countries employment.
