HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 06, 2024: “Om Gana Ganpataye Namaha” and “Vakratunda Maha-Kaaya- Surya- Kotti Samaprabha”. Chanting these mantras can bring success, good luck, and fulfillment. They also regulate blood circulation, improve concentration, and enhance knowledge and wisdom. People believe that Lord Ganesha, the symbol of wisdom bestows his presence on earth during this festival and removes the obstacles.
Little artists of The Play School, Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet celebrated the festival by making eco-friendly Ganesha with clay and dough to mark the beginning of this festive mood. Children faces gleamed in excitement as they watched their Ganesha take form. Their Ganesha was then painted and ready for the celebration. The atmosphere was filled with vibrant decorations and floral arrangements further enhancing the festive mood, bringing colours and fragrances to the celebration.
The programme began with inviting Ganesha with a beautiful dance by tiny tots. It was followed by Ganesh Vandana. The principal Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari offered her prayers to the Lord Ganesha. The story enacted in the form of Burra Katha depicted the birth of Ganesha. “Burra” describes the tambura, a stringed instrument the musician wears across their right shoulder. Katha, meanwhile, means narrative. There was a main performer and 2 co-performers. The main performer, tells his story while playing the tambura and dancing in time to the music. The audience also enjoyed a devotional dance performance on Ganesh Vandana that immersed everyone in Gajaanan’s divinity. The students enjoyed the celebration very much and learned about their rich culture and heritage. The festival brought devotion, creativity, understanding, and learning. Overall students celebrated it with great pomp and gaiety. The purpose of the celebration was to let students stay rooted in Indian culture.
The chairman of the school, Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani, who graced the occasion extended his wishes and said that Ganesh Chaturthi exemplifies unity in diversity as individuals from all walks of life partake in the festivities.This spirit of togetherness nurtures camaraderie, understanding, and harmony among individuals.
The Correspondent of the school , Rtn. Hari Hara Prasad also extended the wishes and expressed that the festival urges us to relinquish the past, welcome change, and embrace the future with enthusiasm.
The Principal, Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari, appreciated the tiny tots for their efforts to save nature and encouraged them to pray only eco friendly Ganesha at home and symbolically conveyed a message to be eco-friendly to conserve the environment.
