KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 19, 2026: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets were sensitised on traffic rules, road discipline and the importance of safety and empowered as responsible pedestrians and future drivers.
As part of the ongoing Combined Annual Training Camp-3 of the NCC 9 Telangana Battalion being organised at Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (JITS) on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Friday, Karimnagar Traffic Inspector Sanjeev educated the cadets about responsible behaviour on the road and promoted a culture of safety.
He highlighted key aspects of traffic rules, safe driving practices, the importance of helmets and seat belts, and the dangers associated with over-speeding and distracted driving. He also informed them about penal action if minors drive the vehicle. He educated the cadets about the need to carry a valid driving licence and registration certificates of the vehicle.
The session aimed to empower young citizens to become responsible road users and ambassadors of road safety within their communities. Students actively participated, asked questions and pledged to follow traffic rules diligently.
Drive against vehicles without number plates

The traffic police seized 80 vehicles without number plates and tampered number plates in Karimnagar town on Friday. Traffic police led by ACP Yadagiri and inspectors Sanjeev and Anjaiah participated in the special drive against vehicles with no number plates in various parts of the town.
The Traffic ACP said that all motor vehicles must display a visible and legible registration mark (number plate) at both front and rear ends and added that the violations, including missing, erased, tampered, defective, or irregular number plates, will attract a fine and charge sheets will be filed in courts under section 80(A) of Telangana Motor Vehicle Rules (TGMVR) and section 50 and 51 of Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR), 1989 read with section 177 of Motor Vehicles Act,1988.
