Several violations, such as the presence of expired food articles, pest infestation, spoiled vegetables, violations in the handling and storage of food articles and others, were found
HYDERABAD, AUGUST 29, 2026: The Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE), consisting of Food Safety Officers and police personnel, has conducted a special drive on Restaurants in the Core Urban Region, wherein (7) restaurants were inspected on Saturday.
The TG SAFE conducted inspections in popular restaurants such as Chutneys, Spice 6 and Ohris in Banjara Hills, The Spicy Venue in Jubilee Hills, 4 Seasons Multicuisine Restaurant and Shah Ghouse Restaurants in Tolichowki and Pista House Restaurant in Gadchibowli.
During the course of the inspection, the officials noticed the following violations in some of the restaurants.
- Hygiene issues in a few restaurants
- Presence of expired food articles
- Violations in handling and storage of food articles
- Spoiled Vegetables
- Violation of FSS Labelling and Display Regulations
- Presence of Pest Infestation
In view of the violations, the following actions are being taken
- (11) samples have been lifted on suspicion of adulteration
- (04) Improvement notices have been issued
- (03) Show Cause Notices have been issued
