Nutritious Break-fast and lunch in all government schools in a phased manner, says CM Revanth Reddy

Pilot project would begin very soon in Kodangal assembly segment and later in entire Telangana state

Hare Rama Hare Krishna foundation would maintain centralised kitchen and supply the breakfast and lunch to students

HYDERABAD, JULY 28, 2024: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has embarked upon an ambitious programme of serving break-fast and lunch to the students of all the government schools in the Telangana state in a phased manner with the support of Hare Rama – Hare Krishna Charitable foundation with CSR funds.

Accordingly, the pilot project of providing nutritional breakfast and lunch for about 28,000 students in Kodangal assembly segment as part of converting the schools into semi-residential to encourage enrolment into the government schools. The construction work for the centralised kitchen has already started in Kodangal town and the CM would soon launch the scheme.

In tune with the semi-residential schools concept, the Chief Minister conducted a meeting with the representatives of Hare Rama and Hare Krishna Foundation in Hyderabad on Sunday. Stating that the semi-residential school concept would start on a pilot basis in Kodangal segment, the CM said that the scheme would be implemented throughout the state in a phased manner.

The centralised kitchen will be maintained by Hare Rama-Hare Krishna Charitable Foundation with CSR Funds. He suggested that a complete study should be done to implement the same across the state. The objective of the government is to provide quality education and nutritious food to the poor students.
