NSS volunteers take up a cleanliness drive at TSWRDC for women in Nagunuru

KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 28, 2024: NSS volunteers of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Nagunuru on the outskirts of Karimnagar town, participated in the cleanliness drive of their college campus as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva on Saturday.

On this occasion, the volunteers removed all the shrubs, weeds and other garbage material from the premises. College Principal T Malathi elaborated on the deep connection between cleanliness and health and emphasised how a clean environment could help reduce diseases and enhance the quality of life.

She also exhorted on the importance of cleanliness as an important element of public service and social welfare. The programme inspired the students to take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness in their personal lives and society. NSS district nodal officer and NSS programme officer of the college K Geetha Rani, faculty member D Srihari, Academic coordinator M Radhika, office superintendent T Suresh Kumar and others were also present.
