KARIMNAGAR, JULY 13, 2024: National Service Scheme volunteers of Vivekananda Degree and PG college in Karimnagar town have launched the ‘Vanamahotsavam’ (plantation of saplings) programme on their college premises on Saturday.
College principal Ch Srinivas and AOB B Shravan Kumar have planted the saplings and assured to protect the saplings and nurture them regularly. On this occasion, Mr Srinivas said that the NSS volunteers of the college have been participating in the plantation of saplings in various parts of the district every year. He said that they had planted saplings on their college and protected them with tree-guards.
NSS Programme Officer Danapuri Sagar called upon the students to plant at least one sapling a year and nurture its growth and protect the environment from pollution, ACO B Sampath Kumar, B Rameshwar Rao, NSS programme officer Bairam Mahesh and others were also present.
