HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 25, 2024: NSS volunteers of New Government Degree College for Women, Golkonda, Hyderabad, organsied a Traffic Rules Awareness programme at Tipukhan bridge near Golkonda fort on Wednesday.
The Students with the support the local Traffic police motivated the motorists and other vehiclists to obey traffic rules for the betterment and safety of one’s life.
Volunteers carrying placards on safe driving and riding of vehicles explained various fines to be imposed for violation of traffic rules and regulations. Besides, they also focused on risk involved in rash driving and using cellphone while driving/riding. They also highlighted the importance of wearing helmets to avoid fatal accidents.
Principal T Sree Lakshmi said that the NSS volunteers of two batches (four each) participated in the traffic awareness programme as per the instructions of State NSS officer Burra Venkatesham.
