KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 24, 2024: As part of the National Service Scheme formation day on Tuesday, all the NSS volunteers from various degree and PG colleges participated in the celebrations by participating in the removal of single-use plastic and removal of garbage and weeds on the university premises in Karimnagar town.
The volunteers of various colleges NSS participated in the cleanliness drive on the university premises by removing garbage and single-use plastic and also removing the shrubs and weeds. Later, the NSS formation day celebrations were conducted on the university premises by lighting the lamp by Registrar M Varaprasad.
Speaking on the occasion, Varaprasad called upon the NSS volunteers to rebuild the nation with their social service activities. He also administered the pledge to the students. NSS coordinator Manohar said that the basic aim of NSS is to inculcate the social welfare thoughts in the students and to provide service to society without any prejudice. He particularly mentioned humility as the tool to be used to lead a life which is instrumental for working in the service of humanity.
