TGCHE chairman Prof Balakista Reddy stresses on Futuristic Education

MNR University Admissions Office opened

We will give the best: Chancellor Ravi Varma

HYDERABAD, MARCH 10, 2025:  Futuristic education should be at the forefront of all universities’ agendas to accelerate India’s development, and all necessary support will be extended to such endeavors, said Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana Council of Higher Education.

Prof. Reddy, a distinguished legal educationist, addressed the leadership, faculty, and staff of MNR University after inaugurating its Central Admissions Office at Y-Junction near the Balanagar Metro Train Station on Sunday. Stressing the need for a long-term vision, he stated, “Futuristic education based on a five- or ten-year roadmap is the need of the hour. An inter-disciplinary approach and technological innovation should be the key driver.”

He further emphasized that India’s growing population is not a liability but a tremendous opportunity. “Those who possess knowledge and innovation shape the world. Today, the global spotlight is on India, thanks to its young and dynamic population,” he observed.

Reflecting on the impact of globalization, liberalization, privatization, digitization, and, most recently, the disruptions caused by COVID-19, Prof. Reddy highlighted the necessity of adapting to these changes through technology and innovation. “The pandemic posed numerous challenges to education, and we must equip ourselves to address them effectively with cutting-edge technology,” he remarked.

Quoting futurist Alvin Toffler, he underscored the need for education systems to evolve in alignment with future trends. As part of the event, he also launched the university’s website and released a new brochure.

MNR University: A Journey from Vision to Reality

MNR Educational Trust’s Founder, Shri M.N. Raju, expressed immense pride in the institution’s growth. “What began as a humble school with just 35 students in 1974 has today transformed into a full-fledged university with a bold vision for the future,” he said.

Echoing this sentiment, MNR University Chancellor Ravi Varma reiterated the university’s commitment to academic excellence. “We are determined to provide world-class education, supported by state-of-the-art infrastructure and a globally recognized faculty. There will be no compromises in our pursuit of excellence,” he affirmed.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Krishna Chalam outlined MNRU’s futuristic vision, stating that emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) would be integrated across all academic programs to benefit students. “Our curriculum is designed to align with industry requirements, ensuring our graduates are well-equipped for the future,” he noted. MNRU Registrar, Prof. T.V. Satyanarayana, extended gratitude to the Telangana government for its unwavering support.
