HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 22, 2026: Fourteen students of the M.A. English III Semester at Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda, attended a seminar on the ‘Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme’ organised jointly by the International Affairs Cell and Department of English of Osmania University in association with the Embassy of Japan, on Tuesday.
The students were accompanied by their teacher, Manideep. As part of the programme, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan, Kobayashi Takashi, delivered a presentation on employment opportunities in Japan through the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme. The session introduced the students to the scope of the JET Programme and the opportunities it offers for teaching and cultural exchange in Japan.
The visit provided the students with an opportunity to learn about international career prospects and strengthen their understanding of Japanese language and culture. Later, Kobayashi Takashi was felicitated by the Director of International Affairs of Osmania University, Prof B. Vijaya, along with the Head, OU Department of English J. Savithri.
