Renee Hospital conducts an awareness programme on World Heart Day
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 29, 2024: Manakondur legislator, who is a doctor by profession, Dr Kavvampalli Satyanarayana has stressed on the importance of regular health check-ups, as detecting heart issues early may lead to effective treatment.
The Legislator participated as chief guest at the World Heart Day celebrations organised by Renee Hospital in Karimnagar town on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Satyanarayana spoke about the importance of heart health, as many cardiovascular diseases are preventable through lifestyle changes. He said a balanced diet, regular physical activity, no smoking and alcohol consumption lead to a reduced risk of heart disease.
The department of Cardiology of the Renee Hospital conducted an awareness programme on ECG tests to detect heart issues for the benefit of the medical students. The session was chaired by cardiologists Dr Dinakar, Dr Raja Vijayendra Reddy and Mohammed Yusuf Rafi. Renee Hospital chairman Dr Bangari Swamy, senior physicians Dr DC Tirupati Rao and Dr Raghuraman, senior paediatricians Dr Laxman and Dr Rama, Telangana medical council member Dr Bandari Raj Kumar, Renee hospital medical superintendent Dr Ravindra Chary and others participated.
Dr Bangari Swamy said that they were regularly conducting health awareness programmes on World Heart Day by organising walkathons, conferences for medical students and free medical camps and training in CPR. He said that the hospital was fully equipped with all amenities for the treatment of heart-related ailments with a special cardiology department. Dr Krishna Reddy, Dr Lathish Reddy, Dr Nikhil Laxman, Renee Hospital non-clinical director Aravind, general manager Pawan Prasad and others were also present.
