Maintain cordial and friendly relations with customers to increase business, says NAFSCOB chairman

KARIMNAGAR, JULY 10, 2024: NAFSCOB and Karimnagar DCCB Chairman Mr Konduru Ravinder Rao has called upon the bank branch managers to maintain cordial and friendly relations with the customers to increase the business and deposits.

Mr Ravinder Rao was speaking at the DCCB branch managers’ monthly review meeting at its headquarters in Karimnagar town on Wednesday. Reminding that the Karimnagar DCCB was providing highest interest rates for the deposits, he informed the branch managers do introspection about why the customers are not coming to the bank to invest. He called upon the managers to motivate and persuade the customers to invest in Karimnagar DCCB to reap riches with best customer services.

Instructing the branch managers to conduct more financial literacy camps (FLC) programmes to connect with the customers, he said that the ‘word of mouth publicity’ was the best form of propaganda to increase the business. He said that the managers and other staff need to focus more on being customer-friendly so that the process of availing credit become more hassle-free for borrowers.

Informing the bankers that the Karimnagar DCCB is well-connected with majority of customers including farming community when compared to other commercial banks, he called upon the bankers to encourage digital transactions through UPI services. He directed the bank employees to ensure that the customers were activated with UPI services as soon as they collect their ATM cards and added that the increase of digital transactions would increase business as well as reduce burden on the bank staff.

Assuring that the bank was taking measures to open new branches and more ATMs for the benefit of customers, he instructed the bankers to increase the lending of education, four-wheeler and two-wheeler loans in the rural areas. Reminding that the DCCB was a service orientated bank, he said that there is scope for increase of business.

Advising the bankers to clear the files at the earliest by giving a check-list to the borrowers of any loan, he directed them not to be lenient on credit underwriting standards by taking any adverse risks on a proposal. CEO N Satyanarayana Rao, General Managers B Sridhar and Md Riaz and others were also present.
