
Students celebrate Diwali with gaiety at SNS
HYDERABAD, OCTOBER 29, 2024: Tiny Tots of Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, celebrated the Diwali, the festival of lights, with pomp and gaiety on Tuesday.
The day started with a special morning assembly wherein students delivered speeches on the significance of the festival and the relevance of eco-friendly celebrations.
Children of classes 1 and 2 participated exuberantly in Diwali programmes. Celebrations began with a warm welcome and presenting token of love to the Principal of the school. It continued with a sacred and devotional song. Further, the programme continued with a splendid skit. The skit showed the victorious return of Lord Sri Rama to Ayodhya after saving his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana and 14 years of exile. Finally, the programme concluded with dance performances where students tapping their feet energetically to the melodious songs.
Addressing the gathering, Principal of the school Dr.T.Lalitha Kumari and Correspondent Hari Hara Prasad praised all the participants and wished everyone a happy and safe Diwali and encouraged everyone to light diyas instead of firecrackers to spread light and reduce pollution and notified everyone that Eco-friendly celebrations are safer and don’t scare away animals. Finally children enjoyed the celebrations with a festive mood. School Chairman Dr Sudhakar Rao Polsani conveyed his greetings to the students and their parents.
