KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 16, 2024: The Karimnagar District Yoga team has emerged as the overall state champion at the 11th state-level Yogasana competitions at Saroornagar stadium in Hyderabad on September 14 and 15, 2024 by securing a total of 116 points in the competitions.
In a statement here on Monday, District Yoga Association president S Ravinder Singh and Secretary N Sidda Reddy said that the Karimnagar yoga team had excelled in all competitions and won seven gold medals, four silver medals and four bronze medals and few other yoga players secured fourth, fifth and sixth places in the competitions and won an overall championship title.
After the excellent performance by the district yoga players, a record number of 16 sportspersons were selected to participate in the national yoga competitions representing the Telangana state which would be held in October 2024. DYSO Srinivas, coaches Ramakrishna, Krishnaiah, Malleshwari, Swaroopa Chari, Manoj Kumar,. Vijay Kumar, Srinivas and others congratulated the players.
