RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, SEPTEMBER 14, 2024: The MNJ Institute of Oncology and Regional Cancer Centre, Hyderabad in association with the District Medical and Health Department organised a free Cancer screening camp exclusively for the womenfolk in Sircilla textile town on Monday.
On this occasion, the MNJ Cancer Centre medical fraternity led by Dr Thilak Raj (general surgeon) and other paramedical staff including staff nurse Satyavathi, camp coordinator C Sarveshwara Prasad, ANM Santoshi, Mammogram technicians Saraswathi, Ifra and Satesh, Pathology technician Archana and others participated in the camp.
A total of 164 persons were screened at the camp including 31 mouth cancer with men and 43 womenfolk, 39 with breast cancer, 51 with cervical cancer etc. The organisers also distributed medicines to the patients.
Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha and DMHO Dr Vasantha Rao thanked M Srinivasalu, director of MNJ hospital, for coming forward and conducting the special cancer screening camp for the benefit of the people of Sircilla textile town. Vemulawada hospital superintendent Dr Penchalaiah, deputy DMHO Dr Rajitha, Programme officer Dr Nayeem Jaha, town Congress president KK Mahender Reddy, Nagula Satyanarayana, Gaddam Narsaiah, Congress leaders P Vanitha, Sridevi and others were also present.
