KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 22, 2024: A 10-year-old girl, who has been residing at Bala Sadan in Karimnagar town, was adopted by a childless couple from Karimnagar district as per mandatory procedures governing the adoption of children in Karimnagar town on Thursday.
The childless couple from Karimnagar district had earlier applied for legalised adoption of child online through the Department of Women Development and Child Welfare’s website and completed the legal adoption process, sources said. The recognised agencies and the authorities concerned facilitated the legal adoption process in strict compliance with the stipulated procedures.
Collector Pamela Satpathy has formally handed the girl child to the childless couple in her chambers. A certified copy of the adoption order was also issued to them. District Welfare Officer Saraswathi, PO Tirupati, Sishu Gruha manager Tejaswi, Kavitha, Rajesh and others were also present.
