Kakatiya University officials launch fresh land survey to check encroachment of lands

Plans are afoot to construct compound wall to protect university lands

It is believed that about 40 acres of university lands were encroached

WARANGAL, JULY 14, 2024: In the wake of complaints of encroachment of University lands, Kakatiya University incharge Vice Chancellor Vakati Karuna has directed the authorities to take up comprehensive land survey and protect the university lands from encroachment.

Accordingly, the KU Registrar P Malla Reddy, Development Officer N Vasudeva Reddy, staff from the building division met the district officials including RDO and Tahsildar and launched the survey to protect the university lands from encroachment.

On this occasion, the Registrar said that the incharge VC had announced a dedicated committee to oversee the construction of compound wall and land survey activities to protect the university lands measuring over 650 acres. The committee members include Dean of Social Sciences Prof. T. Manohar, former Development Officer Prof. V. Ramachandram, Campus College Principal B. Suresh Lal, Legal Cell Director M. Srinivas, Development Officer  Vasudeva Reddy, and university engineering department officials P. Ramaiah and M. Suneel Kumar.
