KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 19, 2025: Greek Mathematician Mary Hajincola participated in an international workshop organised by the Department of Mathematics at SRR Government Arts and Science College in Karimnagar town on Wednesday.
On the occasion, Mary Haincola presented a mathematical model focusing on the strategies required for students to achieve an ‘A’ grade and explained it to the students. She elaborated on the challenges and difficulties students face while striving for top Grades and how they can overcome them to reach their desired goals.
College Principal K Ramakrishna encouraged women to excel in mathematics by looking up to female mathematicians from around the world and pursuing research. He also expressed his gratitude to the Indian Women and Mathematics Organization for supporting the event.
The special guests, Professor Padmavati and Professor Radha Gar from the Central University of Hyderabad, discussed the importance of research in mathematics. The programme was attended by Vangala Srinivas, Head of the Department of Mathematics; M. Rajesh, Head of the Department of Statistics and Program Convener; Vice Principal P. Nithin; Examination Controller T. Srinivas; Program Co-Convenor M.Archana; and faculty members T. Swaroopa Rani, Elizabeth Rani, Prabhakar, Mahender, Jyothilakshmi, Kiranmayi, Mallareddy, Narmada, and Padala Thirupathi. Students and faculty members from Government Degree College for Women and Alphores Degree College for Women also participated in the event.
