Hindi Diwas celebrated at New GDC for Women, Golkonda

HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 26, 2024: The Hindi Diwas was celebrated at New Government Degree College for women, Golkonda, Hyderabad, by organising various for the promotion of the Hindi language on Thursday.

Launching the celebrations, College Principal T Sree Lakshmi said that the primary objective of the event was to connect the younger generation to the Hindi language. She urged the students to value Hindi as much as English in today’s competitive global environment and incorporate it into their daily conservations.

Chief Guest Associate Prof of Hindi, BJR GDC, Hyderabad J Gangadhar, said that growing apathy towards Hindi could pose a threat to the very existence of our country. On this occasion, the students participated in elocution competitions on the importance of the Hindi language. The winners of various competitions include Ayesha Begum, T Sonali, Ujma Neheri, Summayya Begum, Vijaya Laksmi, Shazia Begum and others. HoD Hindi Department Vijay Kumar and other faculty members were also present.
