RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, SEPTEMBER 26, 2024: NSS volunteers of Government Degree College, Sircilla Textile Town, participated in the cleanliness drive of their college campus as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva on Thursday.
On this occasion, the volunteers removed all the shrubs, weeds and other garbage material from the premises. College Principal Shankar elaborated on the deep connection between cleanliness and health and emphasised how a clean environment could help reduce diseases and enhance the quality of life.
He also exhorted on the importance of cleanliness as an important element of public service and social welfare. The programme inspired the students to take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness in their personal lives and society. NSS district nodal officer and NSS programme officer of the college M Shakuntala, programme officer K Sharada, PD Sridhar Rao, faculty members Narasaiah and others were also present.
