Ritualistic snapana tirumanjanam and offering of sacred pavithrams
TIRUPATI, AUGUST 09, 2026: The Pavithrotsavams at Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple, Tirupati, were conducted with devotion and grandeur on Sunday. As part of the second-day rituals, Pavithra Samarpana was performed as per Agama traditions.
Vedic Rituals Begin with Suprabhatham
The day began with Suprabhatham, followed by Thomala Seva and Sahasranamarchana. The processional deities of Sri Rama with Sita and Lakshmana were then taken to the Yagashala, where Vishwaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam, Kumbharadhana and Homa rituals were performed.
Snapana Tirumanjanam Performed
Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to the processional deities of Sri Kodandarama Swamy along with Sita and Lakshmana. The deities were ceremonially bathed with milk, curd, honey, sandalwood and coconut water.
Sacred Pavithrams Offered
After due rituals at the Yagashala, the sacred Pavithrams were taken in a ceremonial procession and offered to the Dhruva, Kautuka, Snapana and Bali deities. Pavithrams were also offered to Vishwaksena, Dwarapalakas, Bhashyakaras, Garuda Alwar, the Homa Kundas, Bali Peetham, Dhwajasthambham and Sri Anjaneya Swamy.

Sri Sita Rama Lakshmana to Bless Devotees
In the evening, Sri Sita Rama Lakshmana will bless devotees during a procession on the golden Tiruchi through the temple Mada Streets, followed by Vedic rituals at the Yagashala.
Pavithrotsavams to Conclude on August 10
The Pavithrotsavams will conclude on August 10 with Vedic rituals and Purnahuti at the Yagashala.
Temple Deputy EO Smt. B. Nagarathna, Chief Priest Sri Anand Kumar Dikshitulu, Superintendent Sri K. Srinivasulu Reddy, Temple Inspectors Sri Suresh and Sri Harikrishna, priests, Srivari Sevaks and a large number of devotees participated in the rituals.
