RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, AUGUST 09, 2026: Father arrested by the Rajanna-Sircilla district police after attempting to kill his son because he was unable to withstand the physical and mental torture caused by his son’s attitude of not doing any work and making huge debts.
Disclosing this to newsmen on Sunday, Chandurthi circle inspector K Ravinder said that the accused, Gudipeta Raghavulu alias Raghava Reddy, a native of Malkapet village in Konaraopet mandal, has a son and a daughter. His son Rajender was not doing any work and moving as a vagabond in the village and making debts. Besides, Rajender was beating his father and harassing demanding money.
Accordingly, there was a verbal duel between Rajender and his father Raghava Reddy over the fan issue on Saturday. Unable to bear his torture, Raghava Reddy attacked his son Rajender with an axe on his face on Saturday evening. Rajender is presently undergoing treatment at MGM Warangal.
The police have arrested Raghava Reddy on charges of attempting to kill his son and remanded him to judicial custody. He appreciated the Sub-Inspector Prashanth Reddy and the station staff for the detection of the case and arresting the accused.
