WARANGAL, NOVEMBER 02, 2026: Former Kakatiya University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Chandrakant Kokate has passed away due to illness in Pune of Maharashtra state on Monday night.
He served as the Vice-Chancellor of Kakatiya University from 2001 to 2004. In addition, he held several key positions in the university and made significant contributions to the development of education and research. He also served as the President of the Pharmacy Council of India.
Professor Chandrakant Kokate’s death is a great loss to the field of education and research, said KU Vice Chancellor K Prathap Reddy, Registrar Prof. V.S. Ramachandran. They conveyed their heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family members and prayed for peace for the departed soul.
