RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MARCH 06, 2024: A food festival and handicrafts mela was organised at Government Degree College, Gambhiraopet in Rajanna-Sircilla district on Wednesday. With the festival season at its peak, the mela added more colours to the occasion.
Several stalls were set up displaying homemade food products, home decoration items, designer apparels and branded food items, had been put up by the students of various.
Several Telangana aromatic and delicious dishes were on display such as Biryani, mutton and chicken curry, Telangana snacks, sweeets and savouries such as sakinalu, muruku, appalu, bobbatlu, laddu, garjelu, snacks, pickles, chutneys, and designer apparels, bangles, craft material and home decors were the main attractions of the mela.
Inaugurating the mela, College Principal V Vijaya Lakshmi said: “It is an excellent mela. It provides an opportunity to the budding entrepreneurs to flourish their businesses, she said, while observing that they also get motivated.” Vice Principal Dass and other faculty members were also present. The event was organized by Women Empowerment Cell coordinator V Vani and Srivalli.
