

WARANGAL, APRIL 16, 2025: Former MLC Konda Muralidhar Rao has announced that every eligible individual journalist will be granted a house under the Praja Palana government initiative. He made this statement during a meeting with the newly elected TUWJ (IJU) district union committee, led by President Sriram Ramachandra, on Wednesday.

During his address, Mr Konda noted the strong unity among journalists, remarking that they had put aside their affiliations to come together on one platform for housing support. “Do not abandon your unions; instead, unite in the pursuit of your housing needs. This collective effort will streamline the allocation process for all eligible journalists,” he said. He also mentioned that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is scheduled to visit Warangal soon, and they plan to take proactive steps toward housing allocations.
He encouraged journalists to promote the idea that their writing fosters a better society, emphasizing, “The public relies on journalists for truthful reporting. It’s essential to document facts that assist the local community.” He further urged the elected body to ensure justice for all eligible journalists. He pointed out that while journalists in the Warangal East Constituency already have a building available for their use and proposed that all journalists be granted access to this facility for their offices and activities.
