
Collector Koya Sree Harsha played fatherly role for the orphan’s wedding
TNGOs district unit donates Rs 61,800 to the couple

PEDDAPALLI, MAY 21, 2025: The Peddapalli district officials have performed the marriage of an orphan girl as per Hindu traditions at Sri Venkateshwara Kalyana mandal on the premises of the Collectorate in Peddapalli town on Wednesday.
Incidentally, District Collector Koya Sree Harsha donned the role of a marriage head to perform the wedding of an orphan girl living in Thabita Child Care Institution, an orphanage in Godavarikhani coal belt. The marriage of orphan girl Manasa was performed with M Rajesh, the only son of Renuka and Yakaiah, who runs a footwear supply business. Manasa had completed her graduation and had aspirations to prepare for civil services examinations. Rajesh and his family members agreed to fulfil her dream of cracking the Civil Services examinations.
The Collector, along with the district officials, took up the responsibilities as the bride’s parents. The Collector, along with District Welfare officer P Venugopal Rao and other officials, turned up as marriage heads and invited the guests by printing wedding cards to perform the marriage of the orphan girl N Manasa, who lives in Thabita Child Care Institution in Godavarikhani coal belt.
The district officials have taken up the responsibility of providing thali, mettalu, household articles and other logistics with the support of philanthropists. The TNGOs Peddapalli district unit has donated Rs 61,800 as marriage gift to the couple.
Collector Sree Harsha, Peddapalli MLA Ch Vijaya Ramana Rao, DCP Karunakar, Additional Collector D Venu, TNGO’s president Bonkuri Shankar, district officials and others attended and blessed the couple.
